Tutoring and Graphic Design Intern at the Photography Department at Southwestern Community College
My second internship last year was one of my favorites. I was responsible for assisting students in digital media within the variety of classes in the Photography Department of Southwestern Community College. I assist students to print in large formats and scanning needs, as well as any aid in graphic and web software. My second job is to re-design some graphics of the website.
This is the timeline of a project that I started 4 years ago.
It evolved from one idea to the recent one that was actually selected for production and is currently in it's post-production phase. But I wanted to portray an example of how it evolved to what it is today.
ALEATORIO TV This is the initial idea where I figure out the base of the whole project, I made a programing with different sections and wanted to transfer it as youtube videos. I used a flash content template to capture the essence.

BAJAN EN LA ESQUINA!
Our target audience were local Latinos in Tijuana and San Diego interested in the LGBTTI community. It's main purpose is to portrayed a six segment series of videos that show locals where to go out, sketches, tutorials, art recommendations, and LGBTTI education.

'Bajan en la esquina' is a typical saying for some one traveling on a bus in Tijuana that wants to get out on the next stop. The starting website had the same concept as Aleatorio TV it was made in blogger.
LAS VENIDAS DE ABAJO
The final product were we only focus on a smaller target audience. The Latina LGBTTI comunity.
The concept is simpler in it's context but more developed in it's entire production and content.
The grungy design is inspired by the 90's riot girrrl movement. This final project is about to be launched in fall 2013.
I took on this project more seriously since I made it my internship this 2013 in my CIS 290 class were I input more than 300 hours. I'm very proud of this whole project since this is where I can grow in all aspects of production, design and marketing.
I've been a videographer for 7 years in this company and for this project I was asked to -recreate and promote a photography and video event business in San Diego, CA. The business lack of a strong online image and promotion. Our main strategy was to change the business name to gain more popularity by using it's more powerful keywords : San Diego, Video and Photography. We started by creating a website and promoting the business in different directories such as google places, yelp, and social media.
Using SEO techniques we have been striving to create a fast search and clean design for this emerging business of media for events.

Screenprinting & Embroidery Experience
My first official graphic designer job was at a small screenprinting and embroidery shop in Imperial Beach, CA. Were I learned various techniques of application for garments and uniforms, as well as designing with color separation in mind. My creativity eye was trained to design quickly; I handled from 4-6 projects a day from different clients to advance in the first stage of their ordering process.
